movie review
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) 70%
Classic stop-action.
Star Trek (2009) 70%
I’m glad this was made, and it was well produced, but the main story conflict isn’t particularly good.
Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) 70%
Satisfactory. Funny to think how derided the Ewoks were, in light of later Lucas transgressions.
Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) 70%
A deeper story than the other films in the series. I have always found the scenes on Dagobah to be tedious.
Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) 80%
Standard-setter. It’s amazing how much more human this feels in comparison to episodes I-III.
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) 60%
Top-flight effects. Was distracted trying to determine if Christensen is mentally challenged or not.
Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) 60%
The slow parts are really slow. And Christensen, at least at this point in his career, is a terrible actor.
Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) 60%
A technical achievement, at least for the watchable hour or so when Jar-Jar and young Anakin aren’t speaking.
Super (2011) 60%
Dark, atonal, funny, disturbing, worthwhile.
