Month: October 2014

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (2005) 60%

Breathtaking scenery, though I found the characters much more annoying on screen than in print.

The Bourne Legacy (2012) 60%

At least as enjoyable as the previous installments, if only because less Dramamine is necessary.

The Blues Brothers (1980) 90%

One of the greatest movies.

The Blob (1958) 60%

Classic science fiction, with a lot of symbolism.

Born to Race: Fast Track (2014) 30%

I got the impression this was a sequel to something. Something that didn’t need a sequel.

Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) 50%

Really poorly conceived.

Resident Evil: Damnation (2012) 50%

Again a better screenplay than the human-acted editions, but the “boss” battle was a little much.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) 50%

Worse than mediocre. Removes logic from the equation. Is now ambiguous what can kill something. Not sure why these keep getting made – even Milla’s voice sounds fatigued from it all.

Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) 50%

Slightly better screenplay than the human-acted movies.

Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) 50%

Mediocre, yet again. One interesting thing is you can tell Mulcahy’s favorite movies by which scenes he copies; here, Mad Max.
