An excess of crude humor, but better than the premise might imply, due to a good cast.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) 90%
Thoughtful, exciting classic.
Just Before I Go (2015) 20%
Puerile farce and serious drama mixed like oil and water.
Jupiter Ascending (2015) 40%
The allotment of creativity and mirth was blown on CGI techno-gadgetry.
Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007) 40%
Exquisite costuming and set design, rendered impotent through poor editing.
Horrible Bosses (2011) 50%
Poor approximation of Bridesmaids and The Hangover, but still watchable.
Attack the Block (2011) 70%
Fun little monster movie with great dialogue and culture. Would like to see what the director could do with a budget.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) 20%
Franchise has progressed from looking like an algorithmic screensaver combined with metal-gnashing sounds, but I don’t think I’ll ever be sold. Perhaps my opinion would differ if I was from the proper generation, thought the director wasn’t awful, or could believe Shia LaBeouf as an action hero.
Paul (2011) 70%
Funny, clever comedy with the proper amount of science-fiction reference. Probably my favorite Pegg vehicle to date, including Shaun of the Dead.
The Theory of Everything (2014) 70%
A very interesting, emotional story involving a bastion of rationality.
