How to Train Your Dragon (2010) 80%
Well-written, well-done.
I Against I (2012) 10%
Frustratingly stupid characters.
Inception (2010) 85%
Exceptional. Anything described as a “psychological sci-fi action film” has the potential to be very good, so long as all those adjectives are true. For this movie, they are.
Bachelor Night (2014) 20%
Unimaginative softcore.
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) 80%
Archetypal.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) 70%
A bit worse than the original Indiana Jones, though many elements are still superb, like the music.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) 80%
Quintessential American action movie.
Intolerable Cruelty (2003) 50%
Like a script written specifically for Cary Grant… which he would have turned down for not being good enough.
A Merry Friggin’ Christmas (2014) 20%
Couldn’t get past the smorgasbord of bad accents. Various characters sound like they are from the Iron Range in Minnesota, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, or inside-the-loop Chicago. Essentially everywhere in the Midwest except Wisconsin, where the movie is supposed to be set.
